The bird’s nest is denoted as the first item of the Eight Treasures in Chinese sayings and once served as a royal offering in ancient times. The bird’s nest can nourish the kidneys, lungs, heart and the stomach and also regulates circulation. Bird’s nests are made with coagulated saliva secretion (Jin), considered to be one of the three precious substances in Chinese Pharmacology.
